Dearest Sattler Stakeholders,
Last week I sent out weekly update #44 to our faculty and staff as we launched into the spring semester. I am excited to develop a monthly presidential newsletter available to broad stakeholders. Onward to power, love, and sound minds (2 Tim 1:7)
-
- Entrustment: We launched Entrustment
Tuitionon January 22 and are thrilled with the opportunity and ability to award all accepted student fully funded tuition in exchange for a student’s dedication to kingdom focused service and financial gratitude.
- Entrustment: We launched Entrustment
-
- 49: Before the year started, I set a goal to bring in 49 new students for the 2024-2025 academic year. I derived the number 49 by adding 24 and 25. Some students have jokingly asked if the universe will explode if we don’t hit this number. The simple answer is no, but we have room for more. I believe in my heart of hearts that we can grow Sattler and am still aiming to recruit our largest class to date.
-
- Hiring: Our admissions department is growing and is seeking full or part time admissions counselors – we are on track to welcome one of largest classes yet in the fall of 2024 and are looking for people excited about developing relationships with potential students and recruiting them to study in Boston at Sattler.
-
- 4.5/5 rounds to 5: At the time this newsletter was written, 43 students completed the Mid-Year Student Experience Survey. When asked, “How likely are you to recommend Sattler to friends and family?” 23 students responded, “extremely likely”, 18 students responded ” likely”, and 2 students responded “neutral”. The survey uses a 1-5 scale from 1 being “very unlikely to 5 being “extremely likely”. If you do the math, the average response is sitting at 4.5, which rounds up to 5.
-
- Board Meeting: Our next board meeting is on February 10, 2024. One of our next milestones is to complete Our Sattler’s second round of strategic planning. I know all of us would covet prayer as we complete this milestone.
-
- Discipleship: This fall, we implemented the first step of our updated Discipleship program, which included bringing back journey groups leaders for Freshmen and stretching discipleship lab (DLAB) out to a year (but just meeting every other week). At our DLAB wrap-up we heard positive feedback from all the freshmen. A theme was being challenged and growing in prayer both in intercessory and listening prayer. We also launched the first winter discipleship workshop on January 19-20 themed around testimony of personal stories.
-
- Feedback: I will be learning about the right material to share in the monthly presidential newsletters. If you have any feedback for things to keep, stop, or start. I would love to hear from you at president@sattler.edu.
Subscribe: Feel free to subscribe to this Newsletter for either monthly, quarterly, or annual with the form below.
Yours for Christ,
