Having successfully graduated our fourth class, Sattler College is thrilled to welcome our newest incoming students—the Class of 2029 and certificate students—seventeen mission-fit young men and women from across the globe who are eager to embrace the Sattler vision of academic excellence and relational discipleship.
A Weekend of Fellowship at Toah Nipi
As in years past, our new students began their journey together at the annual New Student Retreat at Toah Nipi in southern New Hampshire. Over three days, they bonded through meals, worship, and shared experiences, including the arduous hike up Mount Monadnock.
Who Are They?
This year’s Class of 2029 is a diverse and mission-minded group of 17 students ranging in age from 18 to 28, with an average age of 20. Five are women and twelve are men, representing eight U.S. states and four countries outside the U.S.—Brazil, China, Uganda, and Tanzania. Most come from homeschool or Christian school backgrounds, excelling academically and demonstrating a deep hunger for the Word of God.
Their stories are as varied as their origins. Among them is a twin from Brooklyn discerning a call to the mission field, the college’s first student from Brazil known for her radiant smile, and a transfer from China with a degree in global studies. Two brothers from Uganda will study computer science together, one student overcame a devastating soccer injury during a gap year, and another wrote his application essay as a review of Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment.
Some of these students come from small-town congregations or New England churches, while others have done humanitarian work or persevered through seasons of trial. Despite their differences, they share one unifying desire—to follow Christ wholeheartedly through academic excellence and relational discipleship.
Looking Ahead
We are thrilled for what God will do through the Class of 2029. Their arrival also excites us for the next class of Sattler students. We are committed to reaching mission-fit students eager to embrace Sattler’s call to discipleship and academic excellence. Looking forward, we’re launching new initiatives like Entrustment Giveback, biweekly application webinars, expanded referral marketing, and strategic partnerships to reach the Class of 2030.
Please join us in praying for these 17 new students, and the class that will follow in their footsteps. We cannot wait to see how God will use them to “light the world through relational discipleship and academic excellence.”
