The one-year (26-credit hour) Certificate in Liberal Arts is designed for students who seek an introductory experience in Christian higher education. The Certificate requires training in one biblical language and a foundational course on the texts of the Old and New Testaments, as well as courses sharpening students’ skills in written and oral communication and scientific analysis. But it affords opportunity to sample more academic fields of study than the Certificate in Biblical and Religious Studies through two general electives. Students develop skills to integrate biblical knowledge with discerning analysis of contemporary world issues, scientific developments, and statistics-laden news. In addition to course content, students will participate in Sattler’s small-group discipleship program.
